In doing the preparations for the funeral, there are many things that must be prepared such as the service and the ceremony and also the storage that the family would want to keep the remains of their dead. The decision as to what storage will be used will greatly depend on the family’s practices and beliefs. There are sets of culture that prefer the dead body to be cremated rather than being buried into the ground. In cremation, the body is being turned into the form of ashes after it is being introduced into a very extreme temperature. These ashes are then being kept in an urn which serves as its storage. After which, it is handed to the family wherein they place it in their house or in a columbarium which is a collective tomb. But, when the family prefers burying their dead, they can choose caskets for them to place their body into before burying it in the ground. Caskets seemed to be the most appropriate kind of storage due to the fact that it simply and obviously provides comfort to the dead body. It is a spacious yet really fits with the size of the body thus assuring to provide comfort. Aside from that, viewing of the body of their loved ones inside will also be given a chance. In this way, the family members living will still have the last glimpse of their loved member who just passed away.
